A Religious led service

A Minister, Reverend, Lay Preacher & Priest have been ordained by their church and the service will follow a clear plan. The main focus is around religion from earth to heaven as the service starts by the coffin, greeting the mourners, opening Prayers, Homily, Readings, Sermon, to remembering the one who has died, the Commendation, Committal and Farewell all the while asking for God’s comfort and then committing your loved one into God’s care. There are many different versions depending on the church and minister. These services can take place in a church prior to a burial or cremation or directly at the graveside or crematorium.

A Celebrant led ceremony (Religious and non religious services)

A Civil Funeral is now one of the most popular services because the funeral is driven by the wishes, beliefs and values of the deceased and their family. The service will be designed to be the most appropriate and meaningful ceremony for you and your loved one, from a thanks-giving service to a celebration of the deceased and their life. A celebrant will happily include readings, religion, hymns and prayers. It is vital that the service reflects the essence of the person who has died and the whole service is about the person who has died. A Civil Funeral ceremony is appropriate for a cremation or burial and can be held at a variety of locations, including your own home, a hotel, community centre, crematorium, in a chapel at a cemetery or at the graveside.
